Jeremy Louis Tail, 45, of Cheyenne lost his battle with cancer and died peacefully at home surrounded by those he considered his family, and the love of his life who he called his wife for 23 years. Jeremy was the “garage door man” and worked for Doors and More for 23 years.
Jeremy was born March 18, 1971 in San Francisco, CA to Ione Marie Redshirt and Ambrose Tail. He was an ancestor of Chiefs Sitting Bull and Red Cloud and was a member of the Lakota Sioux Tribe. He grew up in San Francisco, Pine Bluffs and Cheyenne, graduated with honors from High School III and attended Laramie County Community College.
Jeremy is survived by his partner, Nita Wetherbee Stephenson; brothers Ambrose Tail, Jr. & Richard Tail; half-sisters, Amber, Lynette and Ellen Tail; step-sister, Carmel Garnier and many nieces and nephews. Jeremy would like people to remember him as a happy person, not someone who was afraid.
