"Ms. Sue Wilson and I have known each other for three years, while she has been employed as a CNA at Edgewood/Aspen Wind Assisted Living Facility and Alzheimer’s Units. This has allowed me as a previous CNA, RN of 26 years and a resident to observe her in situations on a daily basis. She meets with skill, dedication and flexibility my needs, the other residents, families and other professionals. Based on her generous energy, insight and caring attitude for each individual, she is an asset to the facility. Sue exceptionally assists and cares for residents who are at varied levels of mental and physical functioning and needs. She treats the residents not as patients, but special individuals with unique needs and care. She gives of herself to others with dedication and consistency. Sue has a delightful light sense of humor that helps lighten the gravity for us.
She seeks to encourage me and others in maintaining and strengthening our level of independence."

Stitches Acute Care Center
"Suzanne is the kindest person I have ever met. She greets and lends support to the clients who enter Stitches. She brings in home cooked meals for her co-workers when they have long weekend shifts together. Too many to count, are the baby blankets she has hand-made for young mothers she knows from church, or women that work at the doctor's office. She cares for her nearly deaf husband, taking to whatever appointment he requires. She is loved and appreciated by all."

Magic City Enterprises
"Les is a Direct Support Professional who works with individuals who have disabilities. Due to Les' dedication to the people he supports, he has helped these individuals achieve huge feats. For instance, two gentlemen with profound disabilties that spend the majority of their time in wheelchairs are now able to self-propel in their wheelchairs several feet. He also supports these individuals at the YMCA pool where they are able to stand and walk where they are not able to walk around without full support. Les contines to encourage them to move in the water and self-propel. He also ensures the health of these individuals by getting out of their chairs and onto mats for movement, enabling them to have a different sensory environment other than being in their wheelchairs. These individuals are unable to speak but have shown sincere emotion with their smiles and happy noises while in the pool."

Activities Director, Edgewood Sierra Hills
"Elizabeth has been the Activities Director at Sierra Hills for 11 years! She is loved dearly by each and every one of our residents and is highly respected by the staff. The time and effort she puts into making the activities fun, enriching, and meaningful is commendable. Elizabeth goes out of her way to make sure the community is not only highly decorated for each holiday, but also keeps it looking its best for our residents and their families. She ensures our community hosts holiday parties for the residents and their families and comes in on the day of the holiday to spend time with residents who will be spending the day alone. Elizabeth also serves as our Resident Safety Advocate and ensures each resident feels safe, heard, and protected. To ensure the happiness of a few of our more independent gentlemen she tracked down a pool table, picked it up, and helped set up the room all on her own time. She even brought in sports related prints from her own home to decorate the new rec room. The residents trust her and know she will take care of their complaints and needs. She tailors her activities program to the likes and needs of the current residents, secures wonderful volunteers, and has unique and interesting entertainment. She always has a positive attitude, a smile on her face, and gets the residents laughing. She calms them when they are upset, is a go-to problem solver, and is a liaison for family issues. Elizabeth does not get recognized enough for the integral part she plays in our community. She deserves this award and the recognition that comes with it. We appreciate her and want to show her how much we care!"

Chaplain, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center
"Jill is so thoughtful and helpful when she was needed. I also felt like she never forced her beliefs on us, but rather she allowed us to express our own beliefs. She was there for my family through the death of my mother. We were so impressed with her kindness when we needed it most."

Additionally, Karen serves other caregivers by facilitating a Caregiver Support Group for the Wyoming Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Director of Nursing, Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness
"Heidi has been an active presence in the medical field all throughout Laramie County for the past 20 years. The Granite residents and staff are extremely lucky to have her as a leader, friend and companion. There is not one resident in our entire building that Heidi has not spent ample time getting to know. In addition, she spends time with family members getting to know them as well. She is a compassionate, empathetic caregiver who teaches her staff to see things from the perspective of a resident or family member. We have a growing family here at Granite and the matriarch is Heidi."

Davis Hospice Center
"Sally was so kind and caring while my mother was at Davis Hospice Center. Not only did she care for my sweet, loving mother, but she cared for all of us as well. My mother was dying but she would look forward to seeing Sally so that they could talk. Mom would tell Sally stories of her journey, and Sally would listen and confirm, never telling mom she was seeing things or acting as if she was in a hurry to get to the next patient. Sally truly has a special gift and a warm caring spirit. She is a gentle person who understands what a person is going through for both the person on their journey and their loved ones. I have been blessed to have had her in my life, even for just a short moment in time. And no one was more blessed than my mother who had her in her life up until the very end. Thank you so much, Sally, for everything you do, every day, for everyone you touch."

Fresenius Kidney Care of Cheyenne
"I was diagnosed with kidney failure and Katie was my nurse for dialysis. She made herself available and was always there to give me support. She has shown me that I am not a number. Instead I am a person in her life. Giving time, friendship and even love takes a very special person. She takes caregiving to a new level for so many."
