Adeline Mae Thomas, affectionately known as "Aggie," passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Born on August 7, 1933, in Boerne, Texas, Aggie grew up in a rural farm setting, which instilled in her a strong sense of resilience and determination that characterized her life.
Aggie was a devoted homemaker who also dedicated many years to her career. She worked full-time at Cheyenne Frontier Days, where she made lasting memories in the ticket office. Her commitment to community service was evident through her involvement with the Cheyenne Elks Lodge #660, where she served as the Ladies Order of Elks (LOE) president. Additionally, she shared her passion for ceramics by instructing classes at F.E. Warren AFB and eventually realizing her dream by opening her own shop, Frontier Ceramics. This venture was one of her greatest joys and accomplishments.
Education was also an important part of Aggie's life. She graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1951 and later earned an associate's degree in applied science in computers from Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne in 1993, proudly becoming the oldest member of her graduating class.
Aggie was a firm believer in values and morals, often recalling her childhood stories from Texas to instill lessons in her family. She possessed a unique ability to express her thoughts candidly, and her genuine nature shone through in her caring demeanor. Family meant everything to Aggie; she was a steadfast and loving wife, mother, grandmother, Aunt, and friend.
Aggie's legacy lives on through her surviving family, including her son, Lawrence E. Thomas II, and daughter, Diana L. Neil (Larry). She is also remembered fondly by her grandchildren: Kristiana Belveal (Gary), Justin Thomas, Jason Thomas, Jeffrey Thomas (Gretchen), Amber Thomas, Ashley Clarke (Dusty), and Kimberly Eilmann (Blake). Her loving family extends to 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, as well as her nieces, Gail Lindell and Susie Klopfenstein, and her great-nephew, Kyle Lux.
Aggie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. Thomas Sr., her parents, Alvin and Gladys Lux, and her son, Robert L. Thomas Jr.
As we remember Adeline Mae Thomas, we honor her strength, her unwavering commitment to her family, and her ability to bring joy and genuine kindness into the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
