Obituary

Ann L. Wensky passed peacefully on July 3, 2026 at Life Care, Cheyenne WY. A celebration of life service will take place at First Presbyterian Church, Cheyenne, WY on Aug. 29, 2026 at 11:00 am.

Ann was born on May 31, 1933 in Columbus, Montana to George and Laura Resser. She moved to Cheyenne and graduated from Cheyenne Central High School in 1951. She married the love of her life Robert L. Wensky on July 25, 1952. They were married for 68 years and had one daughter Robbie Wensky. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob”, her sister, Minnie Mason, and her brother-in-law Arlen Mason.

Ann was instrumental in starting her husband’s masonry business. She helped with book keeping and scheduling jobs. The 35-year-old business was called A and B Masonry A for Ann and B for Bob. Ann’s dream job was working for Social Security for over 30 years. She once stated that it was the best job that you could have by helping people. She was a homemaker who loved to entertain small as well as large gatherings. She and Bob were active in the Polka dancing club for several years. They danced and traveled their way through many social activities. Ann loved to go to the “Y” for Silver Sneakers and play golf. Ann was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Cheyenne. Upon retirement, she served as a deacon.

Ann is survived by her daughter Robbie Wensky (Bill Wilson), sister-in-law Charlene Goodwill of Powell, WY, nephews Shawn Burke, Ralph Wensky, nieces Angie Mason, Dena Mason, Carla Wensky, and Patty Delke.

The family is grateful to the nurses and caregivers at Cheyenne Life Care who treated Ann with dignity and tenderness.

Ann will be remembered for her hospitality, hard work and love for family and friends.
