Betty Call Whittemore, 93, a long time resident of Sutton, NH, died December 1, 2025 in Cheyenne, Wyoming surrounded by family. She will be missed by many. 

A wife, mother and grandmother, Betty will be remembered for being a member and active supporter of Sutton Historical Society. She was close and generous to her children and offered herself freely to many events and needs in the community. 

Born December 4, 1931 In New London, NH, to Shirley and Annie Call, of Sutton. Betty lived for 89 years in Sutton. 

She grew up with 2 brothers and 3 sisters and worked at Follansbee Inn as a teen. She married Charles F. Whittemore on May 20, 1951, and they were married until his death. Their marriage produced 2 daughters and a son. Betty was known for her excellent baking ability and donated baked goods for various charities and events. She was also known for her excellent knitting skills, and had many grandchildren who cherished her lovely hand knit sweaters. 

Betty is survived by her daughters, Audrey Snitko and Robin Whittemore, and her son,  Barry Whittemore, as well as her grandchildren, Andre Snitko, Heather Shank, Hannah Snitko, Caleb Snitko, Amanda Kilgore, Adam Snitko, Aaron Kelley, Derek Kelley, Gabriel Whittemore, Nathaniel Whittemore, Stephen Martin, Devin Martin and Melissa Belisle, and many nieces and nephews, Sandra Call Flatt, Deborah Call Lewis, Kathy Call Imler, Donnie Davis, Peggy Ford, Denny Hisler, Meredith Paul, Scott Call, Jennifer Call, Mary Jane Dobbs, Bub Arthur Quimby, Aaron Quimby, Julie Whittemore, Jeff Whittemore, Eric Whittemore, Diane Bixby . She is also survived by 35  great grandchildren and 23 great-great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and 5 siblings, Bud Call, Dorothy Call, Irene Davis, Helen Hisler, and Buzz Call, two nephews, Butch Call and Dale Hisler, 2 nieces, Melissa Quimby, Martha Quimby, and a great-great grandson, Gilbert Jacobson. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to Sutton Historical Society would be very much appreciated. A memorial service will be held at a future date in Sutton, NH.
