Beverley Ann Hansen was born March 3, 1941. She left this earth on July 12, 2022, after 81 years. She always had a positive attitude and knew what she liked and wanted.
Bev raised two sons, Bryan and Dean. She was a den mother and their biggest fan at their wrestling matches. After a divorce, she began her second career as the receptionist for Drs. Mazhar and Halpern. She enjoyed her job, her work family, and all the patients that came through the door.
Bowling was a passion of hers. Spent many happy hours on her bowling leagues. She attended the national women’s bowling tournament for several years. It even led to her running the women’s state bowling tournament. She enjoyed all the details and paperwork involved in planning and executing the tournament each year.
Bev loved anything to do with bears. She collected teddy bears, ceramic bears, stone bears, and Cherished Teddies. Anyone who saw her bear room knew how much she enjoyed her collection. She got to travel to several bear shows and went bear hunting across the pond in London.
Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She would shop for the perfect gift for friends and family throughout the year. It was a great joy to her to find the one gift that resulted in the biggest smile on their faces.
Bev is survived by several special friends who helped her achieve her goal of staying in her house. Jerry and Roz, Barb, Pat, Del, Fred, Julie, Sandy, and Noni were always on hand to help with household chores, shopping, rides, a ready ear and friendship. She is also survived by her son Bryan, his wife Laurie, and granddaughters Megan and Hannah, and her sister Kathleen and brother-in-law Roland.
We will miss her, but are glad we got to have her in our lives for all those years.
