Charles (Chas) D Zemelka, 56 of Cheyenne, passed away on August 30, 2026. Chas was born in Massilion, Ohio in 1970. He grew up in Ohio, graduating in 1988 before becoming a Mariene. He then joined the Army, spending the majority of his time on the Civil Support Team, before retiring from the IG’s office in 2014. Chas took great pride in his extensive military career and enjoyed sharing stories with anyone who would listen. In his civilian life, Chas was part of the Green Knights Motorcycle Club, even serving as President for a time. He was also a skilled artist. He enjoyed working with chalk, clay but mostly paint. He will be remembered for his thoughtfulness and caring for others. Chas is survived by his four children; Charles, Derick, Thaddeus and Jacee, his step children Nottia and Keyser and his grandson Landon. A Celebration of Life Service to honor Chas will be held on October 3rd at the VFW 1881 from noon to 2pm.
