Chelsey Sue Young, a radiant soul known for her infectious laugh and bright smile that could light up any room, passed away on April 24, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado. Born on September 10, 2011, in Kansas City, Kansas, Chelsey was a kind and loving girl who consistently put the needs of others before her own, embodying a selflessness rare for someone so young.

Throughout her life, Chelsey brought warmth and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness was boundless, and her love for those around her was evident in every smile she shared and every moment she spent with family and friends. She was not only an accomplished volleyball player but also an amazing sister and friend—roles she embraced with wholehearted dedication and affection.

Chelsey’s family was the heart of her world. She leaves behind her beloved mother, Charity Campfield, and her stepfather, Aaron Hays; her siblings, Madison Hays, Drake Young, and Chaisly Young; and her father, Travis Young. She was cherished dearly by her grandmother Tamara Campfield, great-grandmother Rose Corbin, and grandparents Robert and Lori Young. The love of several aunts—Shalana (Zach) McCann, Tiffany (David) Miller, Brianne Shivers, and Ashley (Trent) Stroud—along with many cousins, including Mikaela, Evelyn, and Jaxon Shivers; Cael and Ciana Colvin; Navy and Daisy Miller; Corbin, Maddoc, and Goldie McCann; and Trevor and ParkerAnne Stroud, surrounded Chelsey in a close-knit family circle. Though Michael Campfield, her grandfather, has departed before her, his memory remains a precious part of her legacy.

Chelsey's life will be celebrated with a series of heartfelt gatherings on May 2, 2026, at Cheyenne Hills Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The day will begin with a viewing from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by a memorial service at 5:30 PM. The evening will continue with a celebration of life starting at 6:30 PM, offering an opportunity for all who were touched by her presence to commemorate her remarkable spirit and the limitless love she gifted to others.

Though Chelsey’s time with us was far too brief, the beauty of her spirit and the depth of her love will echo in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy is a shining example of compassion, joy, and the extraordinary power of a kind heart. She will be profoundly missed but forever treasured in the memories of her family and friends.
