Claire's indomitable spirit was underscored by her independence and self-driven nature. From a young age, she resolutely decided to pursue a career as an architect, a decision that she embraced with fervor. Throughout her life, her great sense of humor and love for learning exemplified her engaging personality, endearing her to colleagues, friends, and family alike.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Claire enjoyed cultivating her passions in painting and gardening. In her role as a Master Gardener, she nurtured not only plants but the very environment around her, fostering beauty and life through her dedicated efforts in the garden.

A proud matriarch, Claire is survived by her loving husband, Harmon “Bud” Davis; her daughter, Gwendolyn Davis; her son, Justin Davis; her grandchildren, Harper “Hap” Wong-Davis and Karima Wong-Davis; and her sisters, Rebecca Jacoby, Roberta Asahina, and Kristin Winder. The warmth of her familial relationships brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

Claire was predeceased by her parents, Clarence Walter Reese and Gwendolyn Rasmussen Reese, who undoubtedly provided the foundation for her remarkable journey.

A memorial service to honor Claire's extraordinary life will be held on January 26, 2026, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming, beginning at 10:30 AM.

In reflecting on Claire’s life, one recognizes an individual who epitomized resilience, creativity, and connection. Her contributions to architecture, her passions, and her unwavering love for her family will remain vibrant in the memories of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
