Obituary

Darien Othello Suter passed away on March 3, 2026, in Cheyenne, WY. Born to Chip and Katrina Suter on September 6, 2000, Darien graduated from East High School in 2018 and earned an audio engineering degree with a focus on master recording from the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences in 2020.

Music was Darien’s true passion. He began with piano before taking up percussion and saxophone, which ultimately led him to become co-drum major of the East High Marching Band during his senior year. He treasured the friendships he formed through band.

A natural leader and dedicated teacher at heart, Darien always aimed to help those around him succeed and reach their goals. He found joy in watching others learn and grow.

Baseball was another love for Darien. He spent years as a pitcher for both the Cheyenne Raptors and Post 6, cherishing not just the game but also the camaraderie with his teammates, whom he saw as brothers.

Family was incredibly important to Darien. Some of his favorite moments included camping trips, traveling for sports, and family movie nights. He frequently shared his latest music projects with his dad and used him for feedback. Darien had a close bond with his mom, speaking daily and recently enjoying planning future family vacations together. He adored his younger sister Layla, especially sharing fun moments trolling people on TikTok with her.

He is survived by his parents and his sister Layla. Darien was preceded in death by his grandmother Bevelyn Suter and his grandfather’s Dick Vosler and Jerry Carter.

A memorial service will take place at 1pm on Friday, March 27, 2026, at CFD Headquarters/Events Building, 1230 W. 8th Ave., Cheyenne, WY 82001. Donations may be directed to the East High School Marching Band.
