David Lee Kohuth, a beloved father, brother, cousin, and friend, peacefully passed away on July 28, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Born on May 11, 1946, in Casper, Wyoming, David lived a life filled with love, kindness, and a commitment to those he cherished.

David dedicated a significant portion of his career to the refrigeration industry, working diligently as a refrigeration technician for Admiral Beverages in Worland, Wyoming, where he eventually retired. After retirement, he transitioned to Cheyenne, taking on part-time jobs at O'Reilly Auto Parts and Lowe's. His work ethic was matched only by his gentle spirit, making him a treasured figure in both personal and professional circles.

Beyond his career, David's heart was enriched by the family he built around him. He found profound joy in the simplest moments, including drives up the Big Horn Mountains for fishing and camping, which created memories that will last forever. He had a fondness for hamburgers and enjoyed eating out, but the warmth he provided in his home, particularly with grilled cheese sandwiches and Top Ramen noodles, spoke volumes of his caring nature, especially during his children’s formative years when his wife, Cheryl, worked nights.

David's personality shone through in every interaction. He was known for being kind, generous, empathetic, and patient. Those who knew him will remember his peaceful demeanor, filled with an abundance of love. As a communications specialist with the U.S. Navy for 13 years, he brought the same dedication and commitment to his military service as he did to his family and friends.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his son, Daniel Kohuth and his wife Christie Kohuth; his grand daughters Katelyn and Gracie Kohuth, and his grandson Tevin Kohuth; his brother, Mike Kohuth; and his sister, Bev Walter. His cousin, Shirley Swearengin, also held a special place in his heart, along with her daughter, Stacy Davis, and her grandchildren, Riley and Tanner. David maintained close ties with his second cousin once removed, Gina Corban, and her daughters, Cheyenne Corban, Nevaeh Corban, Jayden Corban, and Nichole Lopez. They all contributed to the strong sense of family that David cherished.

The loss of David is felt deeply, particularly as he navigated several health complications in his final years. Yet, his legacy will linger on, grounded in the memories of love he gave and received and the countless lives he touched. David leaves this world, but his spirit will remain in the hearts of his loved ones, a beacon of compassion and kindness that radiated warmth to all who crossed his path. He will be profoundly missed, remembered for the simple joys he savored and the deep connections he nurtured throughout his life.
