Deborah Jo Hall

July 29, 1955 — August 13, 2025

Cheyenne

Deborah Jo Hall was born July 29,1955 in Perryton Texas. After the death of her mother when Debbie was 2 years old, she and her father resided with Richard (Dick) and Martha Hall on the farm north of Farnsworth, Texas. There, the bond of “siblings” was established with Dick (Richard Hall II) and Shannon Hall Richards. On the eventual return of Debbie’s grandmother from Brazil, Debbie, her father and grandmother moved to Perryton, Texas. Eventually they moved to Arthur, Illinois, then to Pampa, Texas where Debbie graduated from high school.

Debbie chose a career in nursing, first in Amarillo then in Cheyenne, Wy; where she assumed her final position as an instructor. She was a teacher by personal trait, commitment and enjoyment. Her “farm” just outside of Cheyenne fulfilled her happiness in caring for animals and gardening. One week after Debbie’s visit to Amarillo in 2020 she had a critical cranial hemorrhage. She was found by a friend who initiated action to get her to a hospital. After she was transferred to Denver, Co for critical care services, she was admitted to Granite Rehabilitation in Cheyenne, Wy where she remained until her death August 13, 2025.

The following tribute by nursing staff to Debbie captured the essence of her:

"Deb came to live at Granite Rehab in Cheyenne Wyoming in 2020. She came with such beauty and bestowed that upon all the residents and staff, making this her home and family away from her family. She had a knack of bringing people into her tender world with her soft, kind voice. Her nurses Dave, Laurie, and later Adrienne helped her in her transition. She remained a teacher, revealing her knowledge, skills and techniques. She could bring anyone to their best with her love, empathy and tenderness. She coached, mentored and taught people who would listen. She shared her faith unconditionally and emitted peace and love from deep within her soul. She was an avid chocolate connoisseur. For her birthday, she requested a large 69 on a German chocolate cake as she was not ready to be 70. The morning she passed, she prayed for peace and comfort. Many tears were shed for Deb, hearts will ache, but there is comfort in her peace."

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marie Hall. Grandmother Ola Hall, Richard (Dick) and Martha Hall, uncles, aunts and cousins. She is survived by cousins Richard (Dick) Hall II, Shannon Hall Richards, Kathleen Hall, Alan Hall, Ronnie Hall, Kelly Ware, Danise Holloway and many other cousins.
