Cheyenne

Diana Jean Craft passed away on October 16, 2025, at home with her family by her side. She is now resting peacefully with her Lord and Savior.

Diana was born on March 4, 1947, in Hot Springs, S.D., the daughter of Ed and Elaine Lebsock of Newcastle, WY. Her father Ed was a printer. As a small child, Diana lived in Torrington, WY until her father purchased the Lingle Guide-Review newspaper. The family moved to Lingle where Diana attended elementary, junior high, and high school, graduating in 1965. Diana attended the University of Wyoming majoring in Education with a minor in music. Following graduation in 1969, Diana’s first teaching job was first grade at Buffalo Ridge Elementary in Cheyenne.

Diana married Robert Craft Jr. on June 15,1969, in Lingle. During college, they spent their summers working in Jackson, WY. Diana worked at the Rod and Reel store selling Indian jewelry and Bob worked for the National Park Service in Grand Teton National Park.

When Bob graduated from UW, he left Wyoming to begin serving in the U.S. Army. Diana completed her teaching contract, then joined Bob to become a faithful and loyal Army wife. Diana lived in many places, including, South Korea and Germany. Her favorite places are Custer State Park in the Black Hills, Monterey, CA and Wiesbaden, Germany. Jenny Lake in GTNP remained her most favorite, however.

Upon retirement from the Army in 1993, they returned to Cheyenne, where Diana continued her teaching career at Cole and Jessup elementary schools. Diana retired from teaching in 2013, with over 20 years of service in Cheyenne.

Diana is survived by her husband LTC Bob Craft and daughters Stephanie Richmond (Brent) of Las Vegas, and Rebecca Lewis of Cheyenne, and grandchildren Levi and Joel Richmond of Las Vegas, NV, Brad Craft of Cheyenne, SSGT Ryan Craft of Tyndall AFB, FL, Raevyn Lewis of Las Vegas, NV, and Jonathyn Lewis of Cheyenne. Great grandchild Bentlee Craft of Cheyenne. Niece Michele Lansing Bennett of Phoenix, and nephew Mike Lansing of Denver. Cousin Dave Crum and wife Mary of Casper, WY, and cousin Richard Lebsock of California.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Elaine Lebsock of Lingle and older sister Patricia Jo Lansing of Highlands Ranch, CO.

Diana loved her Lord with all her heart, her family, teaching reading to her first graders, playing her piano, and just life in general. Diana was a woman of great faith with a kind and gentle spirit, always with a quick laugh. All loved her and she will be missed by many around the world.
