Obituary

Dolores was born February 24th, 1934, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and passed away surrounded by her family on January 26, 2026 at the age of 91. Dolores is survived by her sons Anthony, Randy and daughter Judy Martinez, grandchildren Aja Martinez, Steve Lammers, Daniel Martinez (Alyx), Ashley Torres , Taber Torres  and Angelina Martinez Eric Roach, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, Brothers and sisters, Jerry, Dickie (Margie), Linda (Martin) Abeyta, Cathy Zuniga, Delma Martinez, Emily (Jessie) Llanez. Her long time sister in laws Angie and Susie Roybal and Brenda Jacoby, brother in law Armando Macia, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her much-loved husband Clarence, daughter Roseanna who died as an infant, parents, Jose and Mercedes Roybal; brothers, Adam, Valentine, Isadore, Jimmy, Joe, sister Mary (Hopie) Macias, her son-in-law Lloyd Martinez and daughter in-law Cathy Torres; her in-laws Rosendo and Rosana Torres, and several beloved sisters and brother in-laws, nieces and nephews.

After moving to Wyoming, she married Clarence Rosendo Torres, and they were married for 74 years together.  They loved taking road trips to see family in New Mexico as well as several other locations.  She loved her family, sewing, embroidering, and many other crafts. She pursued a career in the medical field as a Nurse’s Aide, she worked for several years at Memorial Hospital now known as CRMC until she retired. As a mother, grandmother and the oldest sister in her family, she could be counted on to show up for all occasions good, fun, bad and hard. She was always there and will be deeply missed.

Special thanks to the staff of Enhabit Hospice, especially all her nurses, therapists  and doctors, along with family members who have shown so much compassion during a very difficult time and continue to do so.
