Edward (“Doc”) Kistler of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, from small cell lung cancer. Ed attended Cheyenne Public schools, playing drums in concert and marching bands in high school. Drumming became his passion. He played drums for many years in a rock band with friends John and Jerry Rivera. He traveled for years to job sites as a member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Local 192. He will be remembered for his kind heart and subtle humor by family and friends, especially Valerie Bell and her daughter Gabrielle. Ed is survived by his sister Judy Kistler-Robinson (Jay) of Albuquerque NM. A Celebration of Life reception will be held on June 23, 1:00p at Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home, 2222 Russell Ave, Cheyenne. Donations may be made in his memory to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter or Meals on Wheels Cheyenne.
