Elizabeth Sue Gorman Born Elizabeth Sue Chavis
Elizabeth Sue Gorman, of Cheyenne passed away on April 1, 2025, in Cheyenne.
She was born on July 8, 1953, in Pueblo Colorado.
Elizabeth and her family moved to California when she was an infant. She spent her childhood there where she continued her education to become a nurse for a number of years.
All her life she worked at keeping in touch with all family and friends and to keep everyone updated on how everyone was doing.
She was a very devoted daughter and was a caregiver to her mother for many years.
She loved all of nature including plants and animals. She had a great fondness for Cats, dogs and birds. She was also a member of the Tortoise Society.
Elizabeth could have been called a junior Geologist with all the advanced knowledge she had of rocks. Even as a young girl Elizabeth collected rocks from every trip she took, from hiking nearby to flying out to Hawaii as an adult.
She is survived by her two sisters, Linda Chavis and Rose Slatten, nieces Carrie, Frances, Grace, Elizabeth, April and Rose, nephew Vincent, great-nieces Riley, Priscilla, Natalie and Serenity, and great-nephews John, Christian, Joshua, Jimmy, Billy and Christopher.
She is preceded in death by her nephew Eugene Brooks, her sister Mary Chavis and parents Frank Chavis and Grace Sargent.
She will be greatly missed by all her loved ones, friends and family.
John 14:2, Jesus says, “in my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”
John 14:3, Jesus promises his disciples that if he goes to prepare a place for them, he will return and take them to be with him, so they too can be where he is.
Psalm 116:15 states, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints”.
