Emil Dale “Skip” Calvert was born September 7, 1969, in Casper, Wyoming, to Floyd and Sharon K. Gums Calvert. He passed away on October 6, 2026, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Skip left us far too soon. He gained his eternal rest with our Lord and savior Jesus Chrst.

Emil was known to some as Skip Calvert. Skip loved rodeo and rode bareback and bulls in high school.

In 1995, he moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming. He worked in heating and air conditioning in Cheyenne from 1997 to 2026. He spent more than 20 years with Climate Control.

On September 6, 1997, he married Heather Smith in Cheyenne. They had two children, Dorian K. Calvert and Matthew Allen Calvert. Heather and Skip divorced later.

He is survived by his parents, Floyd and Sharon Calvert of Casper, Wyoming; his sister, Tessa, and her husband, Eric Garnhart, of Casper; his daughter, Doriann Kay Calvert; and his son, Matthew Allen Calvert of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Johnathan Blaine Calvert, his grandparents; Emil and Margaret Gums, Earl and Jerrie Calvert; and one uncle, John Calvert.

 As for his new granddaughter Lillian Izabella, a message from Skip's son Matthew: "As we bring a new life into this world, she will always remember Grandpa, and he will always be a part of us and our hearts.” We will meet you in Heaven when our Lord calls us home.
