Esther Lucille Wegner, a kind and gentle soul, began her journey on November 21, 1931, in Madera, California. She departed this world on June 5, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, leaving behind a legacy filled with compassion and warmth.
Throughout her life, Esther dedicated herself to working with handicapped and special needs individuals. Her career reflected her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others, showcasing her deep sense of kindness and empathy. In addition to her professional pursuits, Esther cherished her time spent with family and friends, always finding joy and fulfillment in their company.
Esther was a woman of strong faith, actively involved in church activities which were a significant aspect of her life. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her passion for camping, hiking, and enjoying picnics in the mountains. When she was not exploring nature, she expressed herself through her hobbies, which included reading and sewing. A talented musician, Esther played the viola and the accordion, delighting in her time spent ringing handbells, sharing her love for music with everyone around her.
She was the beloved wife of Al Wegner, who predeceased her, and she is also survived by her cherished daughter, Susan Wegner, who has passed away. Esther leaves behind her loving sons, Ed Wegner, Bob Wegner, Don Wegner, and Russ Wegner, along with their families, who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Esther's spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. A memorial service to honor her life will take place at Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Hillsdale, Wyoming, on June 14, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM. The service will provide an opportunity for family and friends to gather, remember the beautiful moments shared, and celebrate the profound impact she had on their lives.
