He will be remembered for the simple pleasures he enjoyed, the friendships he made, and the time he shared with those around him.
Frank Marvin Klapal, known to many as Marv, passed away on August 25, 2026. He was born on March 11, 1943, in Broken Bow, Nebraska.
Marv graduated from Broken Bow High School and carried with him a lifelong enjoyment of good company and active pastimes. In his younger years, he enjoyed travel, hunting, fishing, and camping. In more recent years, he spent much of his time at the Cheyenne Senior Center, where he played Mahjong, Dominoes, Cribbage, and Pinochle. Those days brought him many new friends and many happy hours shared around the table.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Klapal. He is also survived by his brother, Bryon Klapal. His family circle includes his stepchildren, Robert (Tammy)Potter, Stephanie Potter, Jon (Rebecka) Richard, and Michelle (Frankie) Gonzales, who remained an important part of his life. He is also survived by his nephew Shawn (Susan) Klapal, his nephew Bryon Troy Klapal, and his niece Brandi (Steve) West.
Marv was preceded in death by his father, Frank Klapal; his mother, Mildred Klapal; and his brother, Gordon Klapal and sister-in-law, Eula Klapal.
He will be remembered for the simple pleasures he enjoyed, the friendships he made, and the time he shared with those around him. May his memory bring comfort to his family and friends.
Celebration of life will scheduled for a later date.
