George Allen Owen

George Allen Owen, 77, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Friday, August 1st, at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado, surrounded by family. 

George was born in Sidney, Nebraska on November 14th, 1947 to George B. and Ruth E. Owen. He grew up alongside his two sisters Kathy and JoAnn. George made two defining choices during his life...the first on Oct. 26th, 1968, when he married Harriet Alice Hottell of Harrisburg, NE. The second on Feb. 10th, 1991, when he made his choice to serve God. One of his great pleasures was having weekly Bible study in his home for many years.

Together they had six children: Crystal (Kent) Headley of Fishers, IN; Kimberly (Dean) Holskey of Grantsville, UT; Amber (Brian) DelGrosso of Johnstown, CO; Megan Keller, Alyssa Ginter of Cheyenne, WY; and Mark Owen of Cheyenne, WY. George enjoyed his job as a route salesman at Frito-Lay in Cheyenne Wyoming for 26 years, retiring in 2004. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Megan Keller. Survivors include wife Harriet, 4 children, 13 grandchildren, 2 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
