Ila Roper

It is with broken hearts we share the passing of our beloved wife, mother and Nana, Ila Smith Roper. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and all of her children on Sunday, August 28, 2022. She was born on August 20, 1956 to Lyndon and Barbara Smith in Los Angeles, CA.

Ila married Rick Roper on October 29th, 1976 in the Idaho Falls Temple.

She is survived by her husband Rick; and her seven children, Jamie (husband, Chris and children, Kayden, Trace, Brooks, Avery and Crosby), Shan (husband, Jed and children, Jonah, Ella, Aurora, and Bennett), Josh (wife, Jen and children, Presley, Gage, Braelynn, and Brigg), Landon (wife, Laura and child, Zailey), Jordan (wife, Haylie and children, Ilee, Emmett, Ruby and Daisy), Breanne (husband, Joseph and children, Conley and Eloise), Bethany (husband, Quinn and children, Perri and Banks).

Services will be held on Thursday, September 1st at the LDS church at 309 Western Hills Blvd., Cheyenne, WY 82009, following a public viewing from 6:00-6:45 pm. Her celebration of life will begin at 7:00 p.m.
