Born: May 29, 1918 Died: November 21, 2010 Services: A private interment will be at the Olivet Cemetery in Cheyenne. A wake for Jack will be held in the spring for family and many friends. Jack always loved being surrounded by his family and friends. Jack was born May 29, 1918 in Cheyenne, WY. After graduation from Cheyenne High School class of 1937, he attended the University of Wyoming. At 18 he worked for the CCC at Encampment Wyoming building the U. of Wy Summer Camp. He married Lola Belle Davis in 1937, (Class of 1938). They have three children: Linda Allen (Jerry) Rapid City, S. Dak., Jack C. Bradley of Casper., and Lolly Martin (Bob) of Newcastle. They have five grandchildren Sheila Bradley Lindstrom (Thomas) of Rapid City, Lisa Allen and Tina Sanders of Liberty Hill Texas, Warren Martin (Amanda) of Charleston S. Carolina, Ty Martin of Casper and two great grandchildren Gavin Warren Martin of Charleston and Terry Shawna Poulosky of S. Sioux City, Neb. He was proceeded in death by three grandchildren, Sean Bradley, Mitch Allen and Verne Allen Jr, his parents Walter J. and Mable Heaney Bradley of Cheyenne and three brothers of Cheyenne, Buzz, Bob and Tom. In 1938 they moved to Osage, WY where they operated the Manewal-Bradley Refinery for 9 ½ years. Jack was the owner-operator of Manewal-Bradley Oil Company Inc. started in 1921 and Capitol Oil and Gas Corporation established in 1946. In 1954 Jack and Lola moved to Newcastle, Wyoming and built a home. Jack and Lola donated land in Newcastle for the Weston County Children’s Center and for Centennial Park on Stampede Street. A private interment will be at the Olivet Cemetery in Cheyenne. A wake for Jack will be held in the spring for family and many friends. Jack always loved being surrounded by his family and friends. He had a passion for reading, history, fishing and old cars and airplanes. As a young man he had a deHaviland Moth and he loved to fly. He and Lola belonged the Rapid City 39 Dance Club and attended the Rapid City Symphony regularly. They have danced together for 73 years and loved big band music In November 2010 Jack and Lola celebrated their 73rd anniversary. In his 92 years he had many adventures. The family is asking for stories and anecdotes to be sent to Box 67, Newcastle, Wy which will be collected for a memorial book. Memorials: Memorials may be sent for Jack to the Weston County Children’s Center 104 Stampede Street, Newcastle, Wyoming 82701 for the benefit of the Eva Marie Bock Scholarship fund.
