James Richard O'Dell

James Richard “Digger” O’Dell, peacefully passed away on June 1st, 2023, at the age of 89, surrounded by loved ones at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, WY.

James was born on June 16th, 1933, and his departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. James was preceded in death by his sister Sharron Marie Freehling and his beloved wife, Nancy Joan O’Dell (Wilcox), whose memory he treasured until his final days. They married on May 14th, 1954, and shared countless cherished moments together. James is survived by his sister, Jeri O’Dell-Spong Priest, and his brother, David W. O’Dell. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through his four sons: Dennis (Robin) O’Dell, Randall (Lisa) O’Dell, Douglas (Tanya) O’Dell, and David W. (Carolyn) O’Dell. As well as his ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. James took great joy in spending time with his family. His legacy will continue to flourish through the love and values he instilled in every one of them.

A memorial service will be held at Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home on June 14, 2023, at 11:00 am
