Janet Gail
Konig
Sep 17, 1942 — Oct 1, 2026
Cheyenne, Wyoming
Janet Gail Konig, born Janet Gail Keever, passed away peacefully at home in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on October 1, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born on September 17, 1942, in Weldona, Colorado.
Janet lived a life marked by hard work, generosity, and devotion to the people she loved. She worked in many different aspects of the food and beverage industry, bringing her strong work ethic to each role she held. Determined and capable, she also earned her GED while working at Portion Foods in Greeley, Colorado, an accomplishment that reflected both her persistence and her commitment to moving forward.
She was known as a workaholic, stubborn in the way that often comes with strength, and above all, a woman with a heart of gold. Janet would do anything for anybody, and that spirit of giving showed itself again and again throughout her life. She was always creating with her hands—sewing, crocheting, and working on the looms—and she delighted in making things for others. She sewed clothes for her children, and those acts of care became part of the fabric of family life. She also enjoyed traveling and shopping, and she carried her sense of humor and confidence with her everywhere, even shopping with her curlers in.
Some of the memories she leaves behind are simple, warm, and unforgettable. As a kid, you would not want to walk past her without refilling her coffee cup. She always seemed to be sewing or crocheting for somebody, keeping her hands busy and her heart open. These everyday moments captured the love, energy, and unmistakable personality that made Janet so special to those around her.
Janet is survived by her daughters; Tanee Schreiner, Tonee(George) Grubbs, Trinee Seymour and Terri Gonzales. Through them, her love, strength, and example continue on, and her family will carry forward the many lessons she taught through both her words and her actions.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Opal Keever, as well as her five siblings.
Janet will be remembered with deep love for her determination, her generosity, her humor, and the many ways she cared for others. Her memory will remain a lasting blessing to her family and all who knew her.
