Jeffery "Jeff" W. Folkman, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 8, 2026, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Born on July 19, 1961, in Vernal, Utah, Jeff lived a life marked by dedication, generosity, and a profound love for family and the outdoors.
Jeff’s proudest accomplishments were deeply rooted in his family, particularly in his daughters. He took immense pride in them and cherished moments spent sharing his passions with them, especially his love for the great outdoors. An avid hunter, fisherman, and camping enthusiast, Jeff found joy in yearly hunting trips with his father, then his daughters, experiences that became treasured family traditions and a testament to the bonds that shaped his life.
He served 22 years in the United States Air Force, culminating in the rank of Master Sergeant, a testament to his commitment and leadership. Throughout his military career, Jeff demonstrated unwavering dedication to his country, embodying the values of service and honor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deanna Folkman; daughters, Traci (Gordon) Alford and Rebecca (Robert) Rabino; step-daughter, Bridgette (Shaun) Shaw; grandsons, Jeremiah Edmunds and Josiah Bocanegra; his father, Wayne (Gayla) Folkman; and sisters, Marel del Rio and Pamela (Steve) Folkman. Their lives carry forward the legacy of Jeff’s love, strength, and spirit.
Jeff was preceded in death by his daughter Sarah Folkman and his mother, Dorothy (Kirk) Swafford.
Services will be held at the Cheyenne National Cemetery Wednesday April 15th at 11am, with reception to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 12:30pm.
In remembering Jeffery W. Folkman, one recalls a man who embraced life with an open heart and an adventurous spirit. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and all who were touched by his kindness and love.
