Jeff graduated from Vermillion High School in 1980. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Meteorology with minors in Mathematics and Physics from Florida Stat University in 1999 and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from South Dakota Stat University in 2014. He was on the Dean’s List four times, awarded the Bowen-Tersh Scholarship, inducted in Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society, and was nominated for a Teachers Outstanding Performance Award. He was a member of the Lion’s Club for many years and was a community volunteer for many organizations including Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

During his career in elementary education Jeff worked in Minnesota and Wyoming as a 2nd through 5th grade teacher, a Curriculum Director, and an elementary School Principal. When Jeff passed away, he had just begun working as an Elementary School Principal for the Rapid City School District.

Jeff enjoyed being an elementary school teacher and school administrator. He was especially devoted to his students. Jeff possessed strong effective leadership skills and related well to both students and their parents. He focused on providing the best education possible for students and was an advocate for quality education programs. Jeff also participated in many community events and programs.

Family was always an important part of his life. Jeff stated, “If I were having a good day, I would be visiting family members or traveling around the USA.” He recently enjoyed a two-week train trip through 22 states with his beloved niece.

Survivors include his parents, Karon and Robert Fuller, Vermillion, SD, brother Joel Fuller, sister-in-law Kaitlin Fuller and niece Autumn Fuller of Bloomington, MN, and many of his large extended family members.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts, uncles, cousins and his longtime companion cat, Sammie. Memorials may be sent to any reputable charity that helps abandoned companion animals, such as the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or any other nonprofit organization.

A private family gathering for Jeff will be held at a later date.
