Big John was a giant of a man whose heart was only dwarfed by his size. Anyone who knew him, remembers him as a gentle giant who never had a bad word for anyone. He had been looking forward to retirement, but God had other plans and called him home. His only concern in life was taking care of his daughters, Kezia and Haley, and although he won’t be there physically, he made sure they would be well taken care of with his passing. Big John was taken far too early by a stroke and heart complications, but he has laid his burdens down and gone home. You are already missed Big Brother. I know you’re at peace, but you will be grieved on this side for some time. For Kezia and Haley, know that your Dad will be watching over you for all of your lives. He will be that silent feeling that urges you on. That word of advice deep in your heart when you are troubled. He will a moment of peace during the storms of your life. When life seems overwhelming, when that darkness around you seems to be too much, stop and listen, your Dad will be that still small voice that says, “I am here, and I love you, You can do it.” He will love you throughout eternity.
