Jon Lyle Masters, was a devoted serviceman and man of faith. He passed away with his wife, Kate, by his side on September 17, 2026, after a life centered on family, faith, and service to his country. His journey included military achievement, ministry, and deep religious commitment. Born December 23, 1945, in Sheridan, Wyoming, Jon graduated from Sheridan High School in 1965 and served in the United States Air Force for more than two decades before retiring as a Technical Sergeant in 1987. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Chaminade University of Honolulu in 1978 and a master of arts degree in Pastoral Ministry from Gonzaga University in 1994. Jon was a Professed Secular Discalced Carmelite and 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, and he is survived by his wife, Kate, three children, eleven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
