Joseph graduated from Sandia High School in Albuquerque, where he laid the foundation for a career distinguished by remarkable accomplishments behind the wheel. He devoted his life to the transportation industry, serving as a driver for Greyhound Bus Lines for 15 years and for ABF Trucking Company for an impressive 19 years. He also contributed three years of service at Sinclair Refinery. His dedication and skill did not go unnoticed; upon retiring from ABF Trucking in 2013, Joseph was honored with the prestigious Two Million Safe Driving award, a testament to his impeccable professionalism and cautious driving throughout his long career.

Joseph was a man deeply connected to his roots and cherished his role as a husband and family man. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Mary Kay Gonzales, who stood by his side through the many years of his career and retirement. He also leaves behind his brother, Martin (Marilyn) Gonzales, and his granddaughter, Kayla A. Morgan, who continue to honor his memory.
