Judy Lou Harr, a cherished member of the Cheyenne, Wyoming community, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026. Born on June 28, 1940, in Casper, Wyoming,
Judy’s early years were shaped in the company of her loving parents, Ruth and Jack Fowler, and her dear sister Jackie. Though born in Casper, the family moved to Torrington briefly when her father opened a store for his employer. The close bonds formed during these formative years followed her back to Cheyenne, where Judy grew up and completed her high school education.
Following graduation, Judy began her career at the phone company in Cheyenne, where she demonstrated her commitment and dedication. A brief move to California introduced her to motherhood, and she was blessed with a daughter, Lu Ann Dorris. Ultimately, Judy returned to Cheyenne where she resumed her position as a phone operator, dedicating many years until her well-earned retirement.
Judy embarked on a new chapter as a Certified Nursing Assistant after retiring from the phone company, caring for others with kindness and compassion until she retired once again. Beyond her professional life, Judy found joy in cooking, gardening, and the companionship of her beloved dog. Her daily life was enriched by an enduring and loving dialogue with her sister Jackie, with whom she spoke multiple times each day until the very end. Judy also held a deep affection and respect for her neighbor Gary and his wife, cherishing their friendship warmly.
Judy’s life was blessed with long-lasting friendships and a deep sense of community. She is survived by her cherished sister Jackie Mizelle, her niece Ruthie Mizelle Fantetti, her nephew Nick Mizelle Jr., her daughter Lu Ann Dorris, granddaughter Alyssa Becker, and many grand nieces and nephews who carry forward her legacy of love and connection.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ruth Flower, and the love of her life, Doug Harr. Judy Lou Harr’s memory will endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
