IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Hoover
January 11, 1951 – December 6, 2025
Memorial Service
Grace United Methodist Church
11:30 am - 12:30 pm (Mountain time)
Immediately following the service.
Kathleen Ann Hoover, a cherished soul known for her generosity, warmth, and joyful spirit, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Born on January 11, 1951, in Waterloo, Iowa, Kathleen's life journey was marked by a profound dedication to both her career and the people she loved.
A diligent scholar, Kathleen graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1973, earning her degree in Accounting, and furthered her expertise by obtaining a Master’s degree from the University of Wyoming. Her professional life reflected her commitment and capability, beginning with her work at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She then dedicated herself to serving others through her role with Emergency Medical Physicians at Health Reach. Even after retirement, Kathleen continued to contribute meaningfully as the Office Manager for Grace United Methodist Church, a place dear to her heart.
Kathleen was beloved not only for her professional achievements but for the extraordinary generosity and love she extended to her family and close friends. Her lively spirit shone brightest during festive occasions—cheering passionately at football games, creating warmth during Christmas celebrations, and sharing laughter and camaraderie at the casino. These moments were a testament to her fun-loving nature and deep affection for those around her.
She was predeceased by her parents, William B. Hoover and Orvola D. Hoover, and her very dear friend, Jolene Britton. The suddenness of her passing, after only 34 days of illness at Davis Hospice, was a poignant reminder of the preciousness of life and the abruptness with which it can change.
Kathleen's memory will be lovingly preserved by her surviving family: her brothers Mark Hoover and his wife Kim of Independence, Iowa; Chris Hoover and his wife Kathy of Cheyenne, Wyoming; her sisters Julie and her husband Ivor Korountchev of Rockledge, Florida; and Susan Rains and her husband Kevin of Carefree, Arizona. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored her and who carry forward the light she brought into their lives.
A memorial service to honor Kathleen’s remarkable life will be held on April 18, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, located at 2950 Spruce Drive in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This gathering will be an opportunity for all who knew her to celebrate the joy she brought into their lives and to find comfort in shared memories. Immediately following the memorial Service friends and family will gather at Midtown Tavern to continue to honor her life.
Kathleen Ann Hoover’s enduring spirit reminds us all of the power of kindness, the joy of shared celebrations, and the lasting impact one loving heart can have on the world. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and eternally cherished.
