Keith Lee Beinlich's Obituary

Keith Lee Beinlich, a longtime resident of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was born on May 31, 1948, in Evanston, Illinois. He passed away on March 24, 2026, at the age of 77.

Keith proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before beginning a long and distinguished career in the telephone industry. He worked for over 47 years, starting with Illinois Bell and retiring from CenturyLink.

He was a devoted husband, married to Kelli for 38 years, and will be remembered as someone who loved being at home with his family—both two-legged and four-legged. After retirement, he cherished his quiet time at home, where he indulged his lifelong love of reading, particularly on the subjects of science and technology. He happily assisted in transporting dogs from shelters and rescue groups traveling through Wyoming. The family had numerous dogs over the years—all rescues or fosters—including those supported by Cheyenne Animal Shelter, Black Dog Animal Rescue, and especially Small Paws Rescue in Oklahoma, whose motto is “bichons, bichon mixes, and dogs who look like they once met a bichon.”

Keith loved camping, “floating the Platte,” and traveling. Cruising the Panama Canal on a repositioning cruise was a highlight, but Las Vegas was one of his favorite destinations.

He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Beinlich; his stepfather, William Labbe; his mother, Henrietta Labbe; his father-in-law, James Asbury; and his brothers-in-law, James Doro and James Asbury II.

Keith is survived by his wife, Kelli, and her family, as well as his sister, Nancy.

Interment will occur at a later date at the Cheyenne National Cemetery, alongside other veteran family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Small Paws Rescue, Cheyenne Animal Shelter, Black Dog Animal Rescue, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
