In loving memory of Larry Dean Leach, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Larry touched the lives of many with his kind nature and unwavering willingness to help others. Larry was born on May 14, 1962, in Buffalo, WY, to Walter and Gwen Leach.
Larry's journey through life was filled with meaningful experiences that shaped him into the remarkable individual he was known to be. Graduating from Bonneville High School in Idaho Falls, ID, Larry went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Air Force for 16 years. His time in the military was one of his proudest accomplishments and a testament to his dedication and loyalty.
After his service, Larry embarked on a career path that showcased his versatility and skillset. From working as a conductor with the Union Pacific Railroad to becoming a technician at Nortrack, Larry thrived in various roles throughout his professional life. Even after retirement, he continued to spread joy by working part-time at the Eagle’s Nest, brightening the days of all who crossed his path.
Those who knew Larry will always remember him for his impeccable handyman skills and attention to detail. No project was ever deemed complete until it met his high standards of perfection. One of his favorite hobbies included working on and rebuilding his Harley – a passion that brought him immense joy and fulfillment.
Larry's warm, welcoming, and amiable personality, coupled with a great sense of humor, made him a cherished friend to many. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity that will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Tragically, on June 29, 2024, Larry Dean Leach passed away doing what he loved most - riding his beloved Harley. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit lives on through the memories we hold dear.
Larry is survived by his loving parents Walter and Gwen Leach (Idaho Falls, ID); Robin and Kim Hillman (sister and brother-in-law) (Spencer, ID); Walter A. Leach Jr. (brother) (Idaho Falls, ID); Deanne Holzier (aunt) (Douglas, WY); Debra Lynn Mion Leach (ex-wife/best friend), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will continue to honor his memory. Larry is proceeded in death by his brother, Raymond L. Leach.
May we find solace in the memories we shared with Larry Dean Leach – a compassionate soul whose light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. Rest in peace, Larry.
