Levi “Jean Jacket” Jackson was the goofiest, sweetest dog you’d ever meet. Born in Nebraska, he came right up to me and sat in my lap with the biggest paws I ever saw on a puppy. He loved to plop down on you like he was lap dog sized, and gave the most convincing puppy dog eyes. He was loyal and wicked smart, but often used those smarts for being naughty, like letting himself out the front door and laying in the yard all day. His big, fluffy tail was always wagging and thumping off the walls, floors, tables, and your legs. He loved everyone he ever met, and especially loved his human siblings. He was our protector, our shadow, and a constant presence that is achingly empty now. He is deeply loved and dearly missed.
