Linda Jean Brown

March 13, 1947 — July 7, 2025

Cheyenne

Linda Jean Brown, a loving family matriarch--Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother--and a dedicated nurse, passed away tragically on July 7, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on March 13, 1947, in Pana, Illinois, Linda spent her life nurturing others, not only her cherished family and patients but all those who entered her sphere of love and caring.

Linda worked tirelessly as a registered nurse; her entire career was devoted to caring for others. Over the years, she utilized her nursing skills to enhance the quality of care provided at local hospitals, ensuring that her colleagues and patients alike benefited from her profound knowledge and compassionate heart. Her caring spirit extended far beyond her professional life, and she was the cornerstone of her family. Linda gave everything she had to those she loved and would have given more if she could have. She was truly selfless.

A treasure of memories lives on through her family. Linda was known for her extraordinary talent in baking and decorating cakes, creating beautiful celebrations for her children and grandchildren on their birthdays. These personal touches reflected her love and dedication, bringing joy and warmth to gatherings that will be fondly remembered by many. Her kindness and welcoming nature made everyone feel at ease, and her great sense of humor illuminated any room she entered.

Linda’s devotion to her family was boundless. She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Brown, and her two sons, Bill Brown and Jeff Brown. She relished every moment with her grandchildren, including Mark, Jayson, Beth, Evan, Alex, Aron, and Ella, and found immense joy in her role as a great-grandmother to baby Ash. Each of these relationships brought her great fulfillment as she witnessed the love and laughter passed down through the generations.

Outside of her family and career, Linda cultivated a love for reading and held her faith close to her heart, guiding her life with grace and purpose. She also loved to play the piano and organ, having performed during church services in her youth. Her cherished personality, touched by goodness, remains an inspiration to all who knew her.

Linda leaves behind not just a legacy of service and compassion but also a family bonded by the memories and love she instilled in their hearts. A Rosary will be held on July 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home in Cheyenne, Wyoming. A mass honoring her life will be celebrated on July 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Cathedral, followed by her burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery at 11:00 AM. The family invites mourners to gather and share further remembrances of Linda’s life at Hartmann Hall, St. Mary's Cathedral, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM on the same day.
