Linda Louise McGuire, 80, left this world to be with her heavenly father on January 7, 2026. She was born in Allentown, Pa on May 31, 1945 to Charles and Dorothy Schleifer. She grew up in Bethlehem and Emmaus, Pa. She graduated from Emmaus High School and went on to attend Shippensburg University. She graduated with a degree in elementary education and taught several years in Pennsylvania. She married the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, Robert McGuire in 1968. They had two children, Heather and Sean. Robert moved her to Wyoming where she grew to appreciate the west and made lifelong friendships. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church, PEO, the Pink Boutique, and other volunteer positions. She loved traveling, painting, spending time with her grandchildren, and most of all caring for others.

She is survived by her children, Heather McGuire (Todd Mays) of Twin Falls, ID and Sean (Jennifer) McGuire of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Riley and Liam Mays, Ciernan McGuire; siblings Susan Townsend and Bonnie (Lou) Heller. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dr. Robert McGuire.

We are grateful for the care she received from the wonderful staff at Cottonwood Memory Care Center. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to either the Alzheimer's Association or Glioblastoma Research Organization.  

A celebration of life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 1pm on August 1, 2026.
