A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Schrader Chapel with The Reverend Robin Chance officiating. An interment service will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Pallbearers are Robert Walton, Nick Matz, Dave Foreman and Shawn Fredrickson. Jim Foreman is recognized as a honorary pallbearer. Louise Byers Walton, 62, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, November 23, 2009. Louise was born January 14, 1947. She lived in Cheyenne all her life, graduated from Central High School and attended the University of Wyoming. Louise loved and was loved by her family. She enjoyed spending time with her great nieces and nephews. Her love of animals was shown by how she cared for and loved 3 dogs that were part of her life. Louise loved to travel and in her younger years would take off for parts unknown to have an adventure. She was a member of Chapter C PEO since 1967, and had a distinguished career serving businesses and organizations related to the travel and tourism industry. Most recently she was the Office Manager for the Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Association and other related associations. During her career she also worked for the Wyoming Travel Commission and Bryan, Bryan and Black, an advertising agency that specialized in tourism promotion. She loved Cheyenne and Wyoming and was always eager to spread the word about her state and community. She is survived by her brother, James H. Walton, her niece, Amy M. Fredrickson, her nephew Robert J. Walton and 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews. Expressions of sympathy in Louise’s memory may be made to te Cheyenne Animal Shelter, 800 Southwest Drive, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82007.
