Margaret Clark

d. December 5, 2010

Margaret T. Clark, formerly of Cheyenne, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Mrs. Clark was born December 10, 1912, in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She married Robert G. Clark, son of Dr. & Mrs. John D. Clark of Cheyenne, and grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Gibson Clark, who were among the early Cheyenne pioneers. Margaret and Bob lived in Cheyenne following their marriage in 1934, and they were members of the First Presbyterian Church, the Cheyenne Country Club, and the 60-couple strong Young Marrieds social organization. Margaret was the last survivor of that group and the Cheyenne social set of the 1930s and 1940s. She always loved her Cheyenne friends and was a supporter of the Old West Museum. In 1949, the family moved to Silver Spring, Maryland, a suburb of Washington DC. Following Bob’s death in 1977, Margaret moved to Leisure World of Maryland where she resided until a few months before her death. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Edna J. Clark, and husband John Reeder; her son, Robert G. Clark III and wife, Roberta; one granddaughter, two grandsons, and a great-granddaughter. Visitation and interment services will be private. Condolences may be offered to the family on-line by going to www.schraderfuneral.com. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home, Cheyenne.
