Marie Ann
McLean
Oct 25, 1987 — Sep 28, 2006
Cheyenne
Marie Ann McLean of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was born March 25, 1987, in Rawlins, Wyoming, and died September 28, 2026, in Cheyenne. She was a feisty, determined woman who cared deeply for her friends and family. Marie brought spirit, a dynamic smile, laughter, and moments of extraordinary kindness and compassion to the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Marie loved watching the Green Bay Packers, win or lose. Marie took great pride in her construction work as a hod tender—a mason’s assistant. Although Marie weighed just 100 pounds, she could lift her own weight in stone, a lasting testament to her toughness and determination. Marie’s story is of struggles, tragedies, and a victim of trauma in her young life. Marie often repeated her favorite Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” In her sober moments, she captivated others with extraordinarily funny stories and wit. Marie wanted to help others succeed and could often be heard calling down the line, at the three o’clock hour, “Finish strong! Finish strong!”
Marie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents. She is survived by her parents, Linda McLean and Robert McLean; her brother, Matthew Robert McLean (Robert Wayne Huddleston); her half-brothers, Robert Cohle McLean and Robert Rusty McLean; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Although rift from much of her family, Marie is also survived by her estranged widow, Bridget, and by her chosen family: her dogs, Dexter and Jackson; her friend John Pavlescak, who loved “McLean” like a daughter; and numerous friends who loved her and now grieve her loss.
