Marvin Lee Tackett 72 was called home to God's garden on July 18, 2026.Marvin was a proud Vietnam era vet and Persian Gulf war vet. Marvin retired from the Air force he served 20 years and 10 days. Marvin also worked for Walmart and the port of entry for the State of Wyoming. As much love that Marvin had for his family and country, he also loved taking photos, riding his bike cycle, gardening, fishing, being a handyman, master of the grill, and animal lover. Marvin took on the role of father/grandfather for Michael. Surviving his loving wife of 48 years and 4 months Mary Tackett of Cheyenne WY. Daughter Michelle Tackett of Cheyenne WY. Grandson Michael Tackett and girlfriend Danica Hecht of Cheyenne WY. Son Jay Tackett and wife Bobbie of Cheyenne WY. Sister Kathy Peery of Excelsior Springs MO., sister Lori Marrant and husband Gary of Richmond MO., Brother Murl Tackett of Saint Joseph MO., brothers Marty Tackett and Myron Tackett of Kansas City MO. Marvin is preceded in death by his father Jerry Tackett and mother Elsie Tackett. Brother-in-law Don Peery. Brother-in-law George Rupp, Richard Kurtz, and Wayne Hoffman. Mother-in-law Mary Jane Rupp. Sister-in-law Sarah Hoffman and Shirley Kurtz. A private service will be held. Final resting place will be in Cheyenne National Cemetery.
