Maureen E. Fagundes, (affectionately known as "Moe"), moved Home to Fully Live with her Precious, Eternal Savior, passing peacefully on the morning of June 21, 2025. She was born on Winter Solstice and left this world on Summer Solstice, at age 83, while on Hospice in her Cheyenne home after suffering a stroke.
She was born in Los Angeles, California, residing there and in neighboring cities for 20+ years. She moved north to Santa Maria, to raise her family, residing there for 40 years, prior to retiring and moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 2003. She was a Beautician at Orcutt Beauty Salon; drove a local SMAT bus; worked in the Orcutt School District's Day Care, known as Campus Connection; and she was an active member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, singing in the Choir teaching Sunday School and serving and leading the AWANA program for over 30 years. In her retirement, she wrote many Inspirational Poems and had them bound into little booklets to share with her friends and family, or framed along portraits of her grandchildren. In their retirement, she and her late husband, Nobby, were active members of Meadowbrooke Baptist Church of Cheyenne, serving in the choir, volunteering in AWANA, and sharing her Baked Goods at Fellowships, with doctor’s office personnel, the local fire department, continuing once they moved to the Primrose Retirement Community in 2014, where she continued sharing her poetry, baked goodies, welcoming new residents with her warm smile, serving as an Ambassador there. She was an example of a True Giver; of her time, talents and tender compassion for people of all ages; and a Faithful Follower of Jesus Christ, her resurrected Lord and Savior.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Chuck and Evie McCray; her husband of 55+ years, Nobby Fagundes; her older brother, Bob (Clemmie) Enright; her sister, Bonnie Jean; her niece, Joyce Harley; her sister-in-law, Geri Enright; and her grandson, Josh Dueck.
She is survived by her three daughters and their families: Cindy Jahnke (Robin) and three granddaughters; Pam Logsdon (Steve) and two grandsons; and Christine Fagundes and two granddaughters and a grandson; and 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her baby brother Ed (JoJo) Enright; her Bonus brother, Roy (Theresa) McCray.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Primrose Retirement Community in Cheyenne next month, date yet to be determined. The family is most grateful for the loving, tender, and compassionate care she received from her Primrose Family/Community and the Enhabit Hospice team of Cheyenne.
