At his best, Morris was a very kind, loving, and caring husband to Erin, father to Nick, son to Harry and Meredith, brother to Tom, and friend to many, many wonderful people that he tried to stay close to throughout his life.   Morris loved his son Nicholas (Nick) Kittleman with all his heart and cherished their time together.  Morris and former wife, Erin Kittleman, spent 20 years together before separating.  Erin cared for Morris medically and financially for the next 16 years until he passed away from complications from a stroke and alcoholism.  Erin and Nick had a chance to spend time with Morris in Cheyenne, WY, the week before he died - a blessing for all.     

Erin and Morris met in Kathmandu, Nepal on an expedition trip to the 5th highest mountain in the world, Makalu in the Himalayas.  Erin was trekking to base camp and Morris was climbing on a trip with good friends.  After the expedition Morris returned to Kathmandu, found Erin, and they flew home together to Seattle.  After 5 years, they married, and lived in Kathmandu, Nepal for a few years.  Morris later became a Himalayan climbing guide working for a British expedition company.   His other profession of 30+ years was a nurseryman.  Morris worked for DeMoines Way Nursery for 20+ years, and later for Carpenito Brothers.  He knew every plant Latin name and could diagnose any plant condition.
