Obituary

Pamela Ann Okland, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on October 5, 2026, in Cheyenne. She was born on October 19, 1956, in Waverly, Iowa.

Pam married Mark Okland on June 4, 1977. They celebrated 49 years together before she passed.

Pam loved making friends with everyone she met and was always ready to help others. She was a gracious and unselfish person. She worked several jobs in the Fort Collins and Loveland area, spending the last 21 years in the accounting department at Mountain and Plains Property Management. After retiring, she spent the last eight years on a ranch west of Cheyenne. Pam loved gardening, landscaping, painting, drawing, and interior design. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy. She was a lover of God’s creation, particularly wildlife.

Pam graduated from Waverly High School in 1975 and earned a degree in commercial art from Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo, Iowa, in 1977.

Pam is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Mark Okland of Cheyenne, Wyoming; her daughter Johnna Wise (Bryson); her son Zachary Okland (Kayla); her daughter Lacey Fleming (Matt); her grandchildren Marisol Quintana (Orlando), Logan Wise, Stefan Wise, Micaiah Wise, and Everly Fleming; and her four great-grandchildren, Annaniah, Emilio, Malikai, and Keilani Quintana. She is also survived by her loving brothers Craig Freeman (Jane), Steve Freeman (Cathy), and Scott Freeman (Martha), as well as many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Shirley Freeman, and father, Donald Freeman, of Waverly, Iowa.

There will be no funeral service. Instead, a Celebration of Life will be held in the Cleveland Room at Deskchair Workspace in Loveland, Colorado, on October 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
