A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, August 27, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the Schrader Chapel with The Reverend Delbert Hansen officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010, from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home. Mr. Paul D. Breed, 85, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, formerly of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010, at Pathways Hospice of Northern Colorado in Ft. Collins. Mr. Breed was born August 2, 1925, in Burns, Wyoming, a son of the late James and Mamie (Cashman) Breed. Paul enlisted in the United States Merchant Marines in 1943 following his graduation from high school. He served during World War II and following his honorable discharge in 1946, he returned home to marry Gladys (Johnson) Breed in 1947. He worked at the Wyoming Hereford Ranch in Cheyenne for five years before serving as a game warden for the Wyoming Game & Fish Department. He retired in 1980 as a game warden after 19 é�½ years of service and then worked as the chief livestock investigator for the Wyoming Livestock Board, retiring in 1992. He and his wife moved to Sheridan following his retirement and then returned to Cheyenne where they lived until January 2009 when they moved to Ft. Collins. Paul was an avid outdoorsman and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His other interests included wood working, tying flies, shooting pistols, working with horse shoes and enjoying activities with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Gladys Breed of Ft. Collins, CO; three children, Glenn Breed of Cromwell, CT, Judy Geer and husband, Terry, of Gillette, WY, and Jerry Breed and wife, Diane, of Windsor, CO; his sister, Dorothy Miller of Barstow, CA; seven grandchildren, Stefannie, Shay, Tavy, Donald, David, Orion and Kristin; and ten great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Everett Breed; and two great-grandchildren.
