Phyllis Hess, on September 30th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends, was called home. She was survived by her husband, Kenneth, and four children, Daughter Kristina Stewart, Son Chad (Carman) Hess, Son Patrick (Brooke) Hess, and Son John (Michelle) Hess. Her sister Linda Malloy.
Her ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis spent her life as a homemaker. She was known for her generosity and care for all people, including those she didn’t know. She was quick-witted and loved telling jokes. She was a very gifted artist, so much so that she could capture the smallest of details, like the wrinkles on your shirt. She adored Polo and The Cheyenne Polo Club, holding several offices where she received prestigious awards including Best Groom of the Major Sheridan WYO Polo Tournament. She loved entertaining and hosting. She loved her horses, her creek, house, and property. She was a fantastic cook known for her phenomenal briskets and apple cinnamon cakes. She absolutely LOVED to shop, she always made sure friends and family never went without. She was one of the most giving people you could have ever met. We love our “Tilly” and will miss her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Stay tuned for announcements.
