Richard (Rick) Carl Orrison passed away April 5th, 2026, at his home in Carbondale, Colorado. Rick was born March 27th, 1951, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to parents Barbara (Kiehm) and Carrol Orrison. He was a proud and successful entrepreneur who owned and operated several businesses throughout his life, starting in 1987, as co-owner of Orrison Distributing. Rick was an incredibly passionate musician as well as an avid skier and golfer. He had a deep love for the blues and was talented at both piano and the Hammond B-3 organ, a skill that brought joy to all those who knew him. He showed his love the way he knew best, through hard work, reliability, and a deep sense of duty to his family. He is survived by his loving wife Janet, daughter Rachael Orrison, her children Desmond and Nora Orrison-Clark; daughter Angela Akodu, her children Kenneth Jr., Terrance and Myah; son Richard McElroy and daughter-in-law Natalie, their children Jacob and Ben; niece Stephenie Holmes and nephew Mark Holmes. He was proceeded in death by his sister Debora Orrison-Holmes, father Carrol Orrison and mother Barbara Orrison (Kiehm). Services will be held at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby May 15th at 1:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life at Little America from 3:00-5:30pm in the Cheyenne room. 

He will be greatly missed, but of course, never forgotten.
