Richard Lee Wilson

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Richard Lee Wilson , affectionately known as Rick. He came into this life on October 23, 1947 and left this world on May 8, 2025, a unique and extraordinary man who touched many lives.

Rick was a devoted husband to Carole Palmer, with whom he shared a deep connection, full of love and mutual respect, and his loss leaves a void that words cannot adequately describe. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home, where laughter and kindness flourished. As a stepfather to five sons, Rick embraced his role with open arms, raising them as his own and instilling in them the values of hard work, integrity, and the importance of family. His love and guidance shaped their lives, and his memory will forever be a source of strength and inspiration.

Rick had a deep affinity for the great outdoors. A passionate hunter, he could often be found in the wilderness, embodying the spirit of a true mountain man. This spirit was paired with an unexpected twist: a brilliant mind for electronics. Rick had an uncanny knack for taking apart anything and everything and putting them back together, often with creative twists. This talent fascinated and impressed all who knew him. His adoration for nature combined with his intellectual curiosity made him a unique blend of mountain man and electronic and mechanical whiz.

Rick's inventive spirit knew no bounds. With a tall glass of rum and cola in hand, he enjoyed reminiscing and regaling friends and family with tales of his adventurous past, each story a testament to his vibrant personality and zest for life.

After Rick graduated from Sterling High School in New Jersey in 1965, he attended Lowell Technological Institute for one semester. Rick then enlisted in the United States Air Force, his service a source of pride for him. This milestone spoke volumes about his determination and courage. His strength and perseverance served as an inspiration to those around him and his legacy will continue to guide us.

Rest in Peace, dear Rick. Your spirit will forever roam the mountains you loved. Let us raise a glass in his honor , celebrating the old times and the cherished memories and your stories. Rick will continue to live on in our hearts, deeply missed but never forgotten by family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
