Rick W Carpenter Sr, 80, of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming died on May 24, 2026, at Davis Hospice Center, Cheyenne Wyoming. He was born September 10, 1945, to Avon and Lois Carpenter. He lived his entire life in Pine Bluffs.

Rick worked in Kimball, Nebraska, for the school district for nearly 30 years. Rick was a quiet, hard-working man.  He took pride in his work.

Rick loved camping, fishing, boating and University of Wyoming athletics. He enjoyed several trips including to Las Vegas and Hawaii supporting the 'Pokes after his retirement. His favorite trip was to Gunflint Lodge in Minnesota.  He caught his largest fish, a lake trout in Canada's Granite Lake.  He also enjoyed watching and yelling at the Colorado Rockies baseball team.

He is survived by wife, Wanda; sons Rick Carpenter Jr (Victoria) of North Platte, Nebraska and David Carpenter (DeAnn) of Hastings, Nebraska; grandson Christopher Carpenter of Hastings, Nebraska and granddaughter Sadie Carpenter of Omaha; sister Deb Martinez (Floyd) of Huntsville, Alabama; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Avon and Lois Carpenter, his brother Kenneth Carpenter, sister Sherri Friedman and nephew Kenneth V Carpenter.
