Obituary

"Robert J. “Bob” Heiser went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2026. He had been at Life Care Center in Cheyenne for over 2 years after suffering a stroke. He was born on May 12, 1944, in Akron, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia (Lorah) Heiser, son Adam and wife Marcia (Mott) Heiser, grandchildren Aubree and Marcus of Cheyenne, sister Elaine Martin and nephew James Martin of Munroe Falls, Ohio, and sister-in-law Jackie Gresham and husband Will Gresham of Loveland, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by son Karl in 2005.

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in music education from Kent State University in Ohio.

Bob was the Springfield High School band director and a professional musician in Ohio before moving to Colorado in 1975. There he owned Longmont Photo Lab then managed several camera stores including Brooks, Western, and Wolf, and became a real estate photographer for the Group Inc. He and the family all moved to Wyoming in 2016 and built a house together west of Cheyenne. They all attend Cheyenne Hills Church.

He was highly regarded by all his students, employers, and employees, and loved by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his prolific sense of humor, warm personality, attention to details, and diplomacy and kindness to others.

A Celebration of Life open house will be held on Saturday, January 31, from 1-4 p.m. at Cheyenne Hills Church, 7505 US Route 30, Cheyenne WY. "
