Robert Perna

Robert "Bob" Steven Perna, 56, of Cheyenne died August 19, 2012 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1956 in Harlingen, TX to Alma and Louis Perna. He graduated from Central High School in 1974. Bob enjoyed a 25 year career with the Union Pacific Railroad, starting as a car man in Cheyenne and finishing as an engineer in Seattle, WA. Bob enjoyed piecing together model airplanes, cars, and trains, attending karaoke, as well as playing pool with his buddies. Bob was a good friend with a heart of gold to many people, and will be missed by all. Bob is survived by his mother, Alma Perna of Cheyenne; life partner, Anne Schmidt of Cheyenne: sister, Lynne (Bill) Palmer of Knob Noster, MO; 3 nieces and 3 grandnieces all of Knob Noster; step children, Heather Slater of Cheyenne and Sean Flannigan of Cheyenne; and a grandson, VonRyan Grimm of Cheyenne. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Robert Perna. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to the American Heart Association. Memorial Services will be 2:00p.m. Friday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Cremation and services are under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
